Marianglas is perfectly situated between the small town of Benllech, with its many cafés, restaurants, pubs and shops, and Moelfre, the picturesque resort that is home to a well-visited RNLI Lifeboat Station, which hosts the island's ever-popular annual Lifeboat Day in August.

The inviting, sandy beach of Traeth Bychan, with its café, sailing club, canoe hire facilities and parking, is just one mile from The Old Shop.

Peaceful holiday accommodation in Marianglas

The Old Shop looks onto the village green in Marianglas, and has the benefit of a small area of woodland behind.

This smartly renovated self-catering holiday property was a working shop from the 1970s until 1996. It was one of four businesses in the village – there was also a post office, a blacksmith and a baker, all of which are now residential.

Marianglas also had its own school, which is now the pretty village hall, straight across the green from The Old Shop.

The traditional village pub 'The Parciau Arms' is an easy four-minute walk away.

An ideal base from which to explore the Isle of Anglesey

Anglesey caters well for visitors, and there are plenty of things to do and places to explore on the island – or you can simply enjoy the friendly and relaxing atmosphere and glorious scenery.

The Anglesey Coast Path opened in 2012 and offers 124 miles of stunning coastal walks.

The pretty county town of Llangefni is less than seven miles away. Alternatively, more extensive shopping facilities are provided in Bangor, just over the Menai Suspension Bridge to the mainland.

The stunning beauty of Snowdonia National Park is just 40 minutes' drive away, and the well-known resort of Llandudno can be reached in 50 minutes.
